The motto at The Well at Liberty Lake is Live Well. Be Well. This local coffee house serves salads, wraps, coffee, tea, smoothies, bagels, black bean brownies, gluten free cookies, beer, wine, Acai bowls, and more. They are celebrating their one year anniversary in July. The owner, Natalie, has been in the restaurant industry in the US and Europe but she has always struggled to find a healthy drive-thru for people on-the-go. In addition to being a business owner, Natalie is also a nutrition coach and yoga instructor. She noticed from her own experience and through talking with her clients the difficulties behind eating healthy when dining out. She created The Well with those people in mind.

My favorite things that I tried here: Kale Tuscan Salad (add chicken), Black Bean Brownie, Acai Bowl, and greek lettuce wrap. There is no one around offering lettuce wraps like they serve at the Well. Natalie made a point to mention that these lettuce wraps “will actually fill you up”, and she was so right! She explained that when you have the right nutritional profile, something as simple as a lettuce wrap can nourish and fill you up and keep you full. These healthy eating concepts are new to so many people that they have found their biggest challenge is educating their customers on how to order. In order to create the best, healthy environment, Natalie works hard to educate and train her staff about their ingredients and menu items.

I was especially intrigued by their “Protein Pudding Bowls”. These look a lot like an acai bowl but they are loaded with a lot of extra protein from Isagenix Protein Powder. They also offer Acai Bowls which incorporate a variety of superfoods and fruit to help you refuel your body the right way. This bowl was delicious and the perfect compliment to their Kale Tuscan Salad.

The Well offers a various weekly specials so make sure you follow them on Instagram to stay informed on their discounts and live music schedule. Right now, they are offering $1 off their Acai Bowls and smoothies all week so get in and try one before this deal ends! The success at The Well can be attributed to their educated staff and great team of people. Natalie has built her “tribe” and they are passionate about health and wellness.

In addition to healthy options, they also offer a variety of gluten free and vegan options at The Well and they are willing to accommodate. Natalie has a “texturally challenged” son so she began experimenting with some recipes to hide healthy ingredients in his “unhealthy” food. Which brings me to their black bean brownies and healthy cookies. The black bean brownie was so good! I almost prefer it over a regular brownie. It was soft and cakey with a frosting drizzle on the top, making it extra moist. All of their recipes are made from scratch, in house so you can always be sure they were created with health and wellness in mind.
